Job Requirements:
The BASIS
Consultant has experience as a BASIS administrator including
installations, upgrades, and tuning of PI systems. He/She has strong
Netweaver skills with the ability to perform all aspects of PI work.
He/She has experience in PI platforms and has the ability to confer and
work with all support and development organizations to address support
and build issues. UNIX, ABAP and Java related experience is required to
help maintain and optimize current configurations. He/She has the
ability to assist in the successful implementation with external trading
partners through PI. He/She also aids the BASIS team in all tasks in a
24x7 support environment and as directed by Support Management.
Critical Knowledge:

Perform as Basis administrator, performing tasks of installations and
upgrades of PI

Perform Oracle Database work as required

Support the Transport Management system

Critical Skills:
Ability to perform
the following: SAP PI Installs / Upgrades, Database Admin Oracle,
Database Refreshes, CTS / TMS (Migration Tools), Knowledge of UNIX
file system management and system management,
Trouble
shooting problems, Enqueue Replication Server, Digital Certificates,
Knowledge of EDI, RFCs, IDOCS, ALEs, High Availability of PI system, SAP
Web Dispatcher,
SLD
installation, Installation of SAP Support Packages and Kernel Patches,
OSS fixes related to Basis,
System
Monitoring,
Performance Tuning of PI system,
Application
of OSS Notes, Certified Basis Consultant, Excellent written and oral
communication skills
